Osa Mountain Village -- Lot For Sale

Due to divorce, I need to sell my 7000 square foot Costa Rican lot (Lot 1, in Howler’s Hillside) at Osa Mountain Village. I don’t want to. But I have to. I have not, however, given up on my dream of living in Costa Rica. I've put a deposit on another lot that I will buy outright as soon as this lot is sold.  The people running Osa Mountain Village are amazing. The site is amazing. And the quality of life they are living there makes me ache for it every day. This is where I want to be if the economy gets any worse.

In the mountainous jungle you can hear toucans and howler monkeys; see lizards, pizote, and macaws. The views of the valley and the ocean from my lot will just make you cry. I promise.

(Three different views from the lot to the surrounding jungle, valley, and ocean.)

Osa Mountain Village is an Adventure Eco Resort. They are working on 100% self-sustainability. They use hydro and solar power when they can, grow all their own organic fruits and vegetables. And for $150/mo, as a community member, you can get as much food as your family needs, whenever you want it. They also raise tilapia, chickens and goats to add to the community’s food needs.

OMV encourages entrepreneurship and can help you start your own business there on the property.

OMV’s 780 acre property already has a swimming pool, restaurant, swim up bar, community center, rental villas, zipline canopy tour, permaculture school, butterfly garden, and much more. All available for the community’s use. They are even hosting an orphanage called the Refuge of Love.

It is truly paradise there. The Ticos (native Costa Ricans) are friendly, the climate on the mountain is lovely, and the views and the oceans are the best I’ve seen anywhere.

  1. Thanks so much for posting all the pics! I'm glad I found your blog. I've been following OMV and Serenity Gardens youtube videos/website for sometime now, dreaming about living down there. It just seems like the perfect place for us! I would love to hear what the similarities and differences will be between these two communities! Thanks again,Barb

  2. Hi Barb!

It surely does seem like the perfect place. I can't wait to get back there myself. Next step is getting the land secured, and putting up a yurt for us to camp in on vacations. Once we are there full time, we can start building our house.

Check back for updates on our process. I'll be sure to include the differences between the two villages. Great question!

    Pura Vida,
    Valerie
